Meditation for Weight Loss

This class is for people who are ready to transform. Through the use of mindfulness meditation we will explore the deeper patterns that keep us stuck in cycles of over-eating. Mindfulness supports our ability to observe what is happening internally and externally in a non-reactive fashion. This facilitates change in the relationship of mind to body and eventually to food and eating. Join this supportive community to deepen your body awareness and acceptance, reclaiming your radiant health and well-being.

Drop-ins are not permitted in this class.

Gentle Yoga

This class is designed for students interested in a slower, but equally effective, practice. You will experience gently held postures and breathing techniques that calm the mind, relax the body, and improve joint health and flexibility. This is the class for times of high stress or low energy. It is great for beginners, seniors, experienced students - anyone seeking a gentle and meditative practice.

Intro to Meditation

This class is perfect for anyone new to meditation. It will provide simple, accessible techniques to foster the skill of conscious, sustained attention (presence) which connects us to equanimity and objectivity that allows for internal wisdom, happiness and peace. The focus will be to help you develop a personal practice suited to your personality and daily life.

Inner Strength Yoga

This class supports students in developing an alert relaxed presence in their practice. Through yogic postures and techniques from the ancient arts of being, students will connect to and build inner strength and balance. Focusing on dynamic movement, students will experience both challenges for the body and mind and also restoration. This moving meditation will flow off the mat and into daily living.

 

Prajna Yoga

“The word Prajna in Sanskrit means Insight, Deep Understanding, and Wisdom. It suggests an embodied wisdom, a knowing that permeates the nerve endings, the connective tissues, and the blood cells throughout the body.”

A traditional style yoga class that moves at a moderate pace, faster and stronger than gentle yoga yet slower and deeper than power yoga. Through asana postures, pranayama, and meditation practices, this class assists in freeing the mind from negative thoughts, the body from negative emotion and renewing the spiritual power of compassion, connectedness, and alert presence. It also promotes strength, flexibility and health of the joints, organs muscles and connective tissue. Come join us for a truly transformative class.

Power Yoga

This fun and freeing class offers creative posture sequencing and flow, uniting your breath with your body. It provides a complete workout strengthening, lengthening, and sculpting every muscle as well as calming your mind and invigorating your spirit. This class is geared for those with some general fitness experience. Levels 1 & 2

Power Basics

Have you ever wondered if you would enjoy Power Yoga? Join Dr. Tony Aniello for a 6 week Power Basics intro series and discover your inner strength! This practice develops concentration by staying connected to the body, breath and asana.

Prenatal Yoga

A woman’s body is wise and resourceful. Her pregnant body is always speaking; the only thing she needs to do is learn to listen. Prenatal yoga teaches women to listen to the subtle language of their bodies. Classes are designed to cultivate awareness of the sensations in the body, and to encourage women to find ease amid the tension and stress that pregnancy can bring. Prenatal yoga classes provide a safe, nurturing environment where women can explore the physical, emotional and spiritual changes that occur throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. 

Prenatal classes are designed to open the hips and pelvis to prepare the body for birth. Also to stretch, tone and release tension in the muscles of the shoulders, neck, back, abdominals and the pelvic floor. We look to decreases stress and promote relaxation to increase energy in a quiet space that nurtures mother and baby.

Yoga Basics

Yoga Basics is an introduction to the building blocks of yoga, emphasizing basic postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation skills. This class promotes balance, flexibility, strength, and stress release. It’s especially good for newcomers to yoga or those who would like a refresher on the basics.

Befriending Your Mind

In this 6 week series we will explore meditation techniques that will clarify the essential points of meditation. Using these tools you will learn to compassionately and truthfully relate with your mind and remain present with whatever arises establishing an internal foundation of peace. Drop-ins are not permitted in this class.

Level Descriptions

  • Intro ~ For students who are new to yoga
  • Level 1 ~ For beginning and continuing students to enhance their basic practice
  • Level 2 ~ For students with a strong basic practice who want to learn more including inverted poses and intermediate backbends
  • Level 3 ~ For intermediate and advance students who are ready for more challenging poses
  • All Levels ~ Adjustments are offered to suit the experience level and needs of all students

Our class levels and descriptions are provided to give a general overview and guide to assist the student in finding the best fit. Beyond experience with yoga, it is also helpful for the student to consider body awareness and personal fitness level when choosing a class. This will help to ensure that the class is not too easy or too hard but just right.
